Thanksgiving week lodging for family, any ideas?

I know it's only May, but last year my house was bursting at the seams by Wednesday night, so I'm planning ahead this time. My husband's side is coming for Thanksgiving week: his parents, his brother's family, and three kids under ten. We love having everybody, but we can't fit them all under our roof for a week.

Who do you send family to when they visit? We're looking for somewhere in the Bay with a kitchenette or at least a decent breakfast, so the in-laws aren't hunting for coffee at 6 a.m. Close to the Village would be best so we can walk or take a short drive over. Hotel, lodge, or cabin all work. A place with a little room for the kids to run around would be a big plus.

If you've booked something for company in November, I'd like to hear how it was. Was it warm enough, was it quiet, did it feel worth the price? Also, does anything fill up early that week? I'd rather book now than panic in October.

Thanks, everybody.

Booking in May is smart... Thanksgiving week has always filled up faster than people expect, since half the folks with a second home here have company coming too.

Cobblestone is the one I'd start with, here's their page. It's newer and I believe it does a breakfast, but call and ask about kitchenettes before you count on one for the in-laws.

If you want room for the kids to run, look at a cabin or a house that an owner rents out. Plenty of the places up the hill from the lake do that... the chamber can point you toward some. Just ask about the heat. November nights up here can surprise people from flatter country.
