My in-laws are selling up north and moving to the Bay this fall (dont ask, I tried to talk them out of it) and now I'm the one who has to figure out healthcare for them. Great.
So for those of you living here full time. Do you go to Clinton or Heber Springs for your regular doctor, or is it a hassle either way? And anything serious, are you really driving to Conway or Little Rock? Because that's a long haul when your already sick, I did it with my dad a couple years ago and never again if I can help it.
Main thing is who is actually taking NEW Medicare patients. Every office I call has either a 4 month wait or the girl on the phone says "we'll have to call you back" and then nobody does. If you got in somewhere, tell me where and how long it took.
Also which pharmacy is the least headache?? They've got a handful of prescriptions and I'm not trying to hear about the drug being out of stock every other week and having to drive 40 minutes to a different town.
Honestly its a little nuts that a town full of retirees has so little here for them, jobs included, but thats a different rant. Real names and real experiences please, not "oh they're all fine".
